Hitting

The home team was heading for a well-deserved victory. Mike was dribbling the ball down the middle of the field. He passed the ball to Tom, who lobbed it to Andy, their star player. Andy headed it straight into goal. The stadium erupted into thunderous applause. Mike clenched his fist and pummelled the air. His team mates ran to him and hugged him with joy and clapped him on his back. The whistle blew piercingly. The match was over! In his joy, Mike ran straight into the referee and knocked him down.
